If this is your first visit to Avon Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, we have a few options for your first dental visit. All visits take place in a calm atmosphere that is completely comfortable, relaxing, and stress-free. We are here to give you compassionate care with the best hospitality.
Limited Exam
Recommended if you have pain
This type of appointment visit is best for you if you have a specific concern that you would like to address. If you are in pain or have a broken tooth and would like to be seen immediately, we will be more than happy to see you the same day or as early as possible and address your dental emergency.
Upon your emergency dental visit, our team will immediately assess your current situation and will take necessary x-rays or photos to establish a diagnosis. After carefully reviewing the records, Dr. Kumar or other experts in our team will discuss the possible treatment options with you. We believe in involving you in the decision-making process and will provide you with advantages, disadvantages, benefits, and risks of all possible options and together will make a definitive treatment plan keeping your short or long-term dental goals in mind.
By the time you finish this appointment, you can expect us to take the necessary measures to address your specific concern. At Avon Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, we believe in providing you with excellent dentistry in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
Comprehensive Exam
Recommended for New Patients
Once you are ready to join our family, we will schedule a new patient exam or a comprehensive exam. At this visit, we will take digital x-rays and photographs of your teeth and smile, if necessary. Dr. Kumar will take the time to perform a very thorough exam of your mouth and teeth.
Together, you and Dr. Kumar will discuss your questions and concerns as well as findings from the exam. From the information gathered, we will create a customized treatment plan keeping your goals in mind.
Your personal treatment consultant will then discuss fees and financial options with you and help you schedule your treatment as planned. It might be convenient for you to have a routine cleaning on the same day. Just ask and we will be happy to schedule these appointments together for your convenience.
By the time you complete your new patient visit, you will already be a part of our family of patients. You will also have an assistant and an aesthetic hygienist who would know you by name and will walk you through your treatment. They will be available to answer any questions or concerns. Patients at Avon Family and Cosmetic Dentistry like that see the same faces each time they return for appointments and they greatly appreciate being treated like family.
Smile Consultation
Recommended if you need smile evaluation
Do you have questions or concerns about your smile, teeth, or mouth? Would you prefer to discuss your cosmetic or general dentistry needs with Dr. Kumar before having an exam and x-rays? If so, schedule a consultation visit at Avon Family and Cosmetic Dentistry.
At this visit, you will have the opportunity to discuss your questions and concerns with Dr. Kumar or other experts in our team. We might take digital photographs of your smile and your teeth during this visit if necessary to discuss your concerns. We like to involve you in the decision-making process of your treatment and high-quality digital photography helps to plan your smile design.
Together, you and Dr. Kumar or other team members will review the photos and create a customized treatment plan to achieve your goals. After your treatment plan is created, our insurance or treatment coordinator will discuss fees and financial options with you. We will work with you to schedule treatment as you move forward to achieve your goals for your mouth, teeth, and smile.
